THE THEME

Swami Vivekananda, the youth icon of 19th century is revered till today as a legendary inspiration. It was only Swami Vivekananda who realized the potential of youth as invaluable and incredible. He ignited young mind and said “My faith is in the younger generation the modern generation, they will work out all the problems like lions.” In a short life of 39 years, 5 months and 22 days, this great man conquered the entire world with his message. He was a role model, an embodiment of youth dynamism and vibrancy.

Today, India is poised for a giant leap from the ranks of developing countries to developed countries. Our economic growth is robust and we boast of a very high percentage of youth population among the nations of the world. But, all these would be fruitful and meaningful, only if we can ensure that the benefits of prosperity and growth percolate down to the lowest level of the masses across the length and breadth of the country.

Swami Vivekananda holds a pride of place among the makers of modern India. It is the time for us to pay tribute to this great soul by utilizing the treasures explored by him for the regeneration of his motherland. As million of his followers in India and abroad are engaged in fulfilling his mission, our youths who are aspiring to build a great India are expected to be engaged in the same course and it is our duty to inspire them following Swamiji’s instructions.
